Bromley Race Club is a club full of dedicated skiers who compete on dry slopes across the UK. They compete at Local, Regional, National and International dry races. Some of our racers also compete on snow and represent the club. The majority of our racers are children however, we train keen racers all the way up to the masters category. We have a committee which exists to support all of our racers. Events are organised to generally fund dry slope races and to assist in the specialist training and provide the club a team to be proud of.
Although Bromley has been affiliated to Bromley Ski Centre for many years the sad closure of the centre means thst training sessions have moved to Chatham Ski Centre – John Nike Leisuresport, Capstone Park, Gillingham, Kent, ME7 3JH in the months of April to October and Brentwood Park Ski and Snowboard Centre in the months of November to March – Warley Gap, Warley, Brentwood CM13 3DP
To become a member of Bromley Ski Race Club, a small annual £25 fee is required to cover insurance and equipment costs. Once they are a member, we simply ask that the racer enters races under the clubs name so that their success is linked back to our club.
We encourage friendly, respectful behaviour and together with hard training the Club has produced many good skiers to be proud of. This year has been another very successful year, and we always look forward to further success each new summer season.
Many children become interested in racing after competing at local schools ski competitions. If children continue to be interested and want to take part in more races, the race club exists to nurture such interest from talented young skiers.
